The first European Film Festival in the post-Covid era was held in Accra between 11-18 September 2021 in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union in Ghana, eight European Embassies and Cultural Institutions, including the Embassy of Hungary.

The EU Delegation in Ghana, in cooperation with the Ghanaian NGO Plastic Punch, organized #EUbeachCleanup 2021 on 25 September during Climate Protection Week. 1528 kg of waste was collected by volunteers, including members of the Hungarian Embassy in Accra.

Hungarians in Ghana commemorated the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence of 1956 at the Embassy of Hungary in Accra.

Between October 26 and November 3, 2021 Trade Director of the Hungarian Agrofeed Ltd. Mr. Ákos Mezőlaki participated in the Circular Economy Conference organized by the European Union Delegation in Ghana. He also visited farms and held talks with farmers and entrepreneurs.

Hon. István Jakab, Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament and President of the Africa Knowledge Center visited Ghana between 20-26 November 2021, with the aim of strengthening parliamentary, agricultural and food relations between the two countries.

The Hungarian Ambassador presented his credentials to the President of Sierra Leone, H.E. Julius Maada Bio on 7 December, 2021.

On 8 September 2021, H.E. Tamás Fehér, presented his credentials to the President of Ghana, H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo.

For the past few years the FITEQ International Teqball Federation donated Teqball tables to several sports clubs, schools, churches and the Ghana Armed Forces. on October 27 a Teqball table was handed over to the Airforce Base in Accra with the participation of the Hungarian Ambassador.

On 13-16 January 2022, the President of the Republic of Hungary H.E. János Áder paid an official visit to Ghana to boost diplomatic, political and economic relations between the two countries.

In February 2022, Trade Director of the Hungarian Bábolna Tetra Ltd. Ms. Nikoletta Fejk participated in a business forum at the Embassy of Hungary. ​She also visited local farms and held talks with farmers and entrepreneurs.

On March 9, 2022 Pureco Ltd. and Zoomlion Ghana Ltd. signed a contract to commence the construction of the next wastewater treatment plant in Tema.

The Hungarian government donated 800,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to Ghana in November 2021 and an additional 400,000 doses in January 2022. This is the largest donation that Hungary has ever made.

On 16 December 2021, H.E. Tamás Fehér handed over the newly constructed OPD of the St. Joseph The Worker Health Center located in Guabuliga in northern Ghana. This facility was built with the generous donation of the Hungary Helps Program in cooperation with the Catholic Diocese of Navrongo-Bolgatanga.

On March 29, the Hungarian Ambassador handed over a donation of HUF 5 million generously offered by the Hungary Helps Program to the victims of the truck explosion in Appiate on January 20.

In 2021, we celebrated the 60th anniversary of the beginning of Hungarian-Ghanaian diplomatic relations at the University of Ghana in Accra.

The Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Tamás Fehér presented his credentials to the President of Côte d’Ivoire, H.E. Alassane Ouattara on 12 May,2022.

The 13th World Trade Promotion Organization Conference and Award Ceremony was held in Accra from 17th  to 18th  May and was attended by the Director of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency Ms. Anett Lehóczki, the Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Tamás Fehér and the Economic Counsellor Mr. Tamás Ary.

The Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Tamás Fehér visited Gambia in June. He presented his credentials to the President of Gambia, H.E. Adama Barrow and inaugurated the Honorary Consulate of Hungary in Banjul on 14 June 2022.

On 26 October 2022, H.E. Tamas Feher, Ambassador of Hungary presented 7 school boards to schools is Tema and Ashaiman as donation of Hungary Helps programme.

On 6 October 2022, H.E. Tamas Feher presented his Letter of Credence to Faure Gnassingbé, President of Togo. During his visit to Lomé, he commissioned the Office of the Honorary Consul.

On 30 September 2022, H.E. Tamas Feher presented his Letter of Credence to Col. Mamadi Doumbouya, Interim President of the Republic of Guinea.

On 20 September 2022, on the sideline of the annual UN Assembly, Peter Szijjarto Hungarian foreign minister met his Gambian counterpart to discuss futher elements of bilateral relationships. 

In the Hungarian Wine Week organized by JA Global Partners Ltd, Andras Horkay, director of the Central European Wine Institute led a wine tasting dinner to high level government officials, diplomats and the Ghanaian business elit.

Agroofeed Ltd, Hungary's leading premix manufacturer participated in the Agrofood West Africa 2022 in Accra and had several business meetings in Ghana, Cote D'Ivoire (Abidjan) and Senegal (Dakar). 

The GH-HUN delegation representing Hungarian wine in Ghana paid courtesy visits to Ex-President John Kufuor, Ibrahim M. Awal, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, GIHOC Distilleries Co. Ltd, and to the CEO of IPMC Ghana led by JA Global Partners Ltd.

On 11 December, the Hungarian Ambassador hosted a Christmas Concert for the members of the diplomatic corps at the Residence.  

On 25 April 2023 H.E. Tamas Feher, Ambassador of Hungary in Ghana has presented his credentials to Capt. Ibrahim Traore, President of Burkina Faso.

On 13 May 2023, H.E. Tamas Feher, Ambassador of Hungary paid a visit to Ghana Atomic Energy Commission. During his visit he was priviledged to inspect the Research reactor centre as well.

In March 2023, the delegation of the Hungarian Ministry of Finance visited Ghana to start the negotiations about the Avoidance of Double Taxation between our countries.

The inaugural session of the Hungarian-Ghanaian Joint Economic and Technical Committee was held on 28-29 March, 2023 in Budapest as an important milestone of the Opening to the South Hungarian economic stratgez aiming to intesify bilateral economic and development relationships.

H.E. Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungarz visited Sierra Leone to strengthen bilateral relationship with the West African country by signing some strategic agreement on education, water treatment and development.

In the framework of the “NEXT West African agrofood roadshow”, the business delegations of Alphavet Ltd., Bábolna Tetra Ltd., Capriovus Ltd. and Kőröstej Ltd. visited Ghana between 21-23 November  2023.

On December 6, 2023, H.E. Péter Szijjártó Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary visited Accra, participated in the 5th session of the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial Conference and held several bilateral meetings on the sidelines.
